About Anthem Youth HS

Anthem exists for students to be able to fall in love with Jesus, find community, be known and loved and become a disciple who wants the world to know God. One thing that makes Anthem special is that there is a culture where students are eager and excited to bring friends with them every Sunday night. There is also a deep hunger and interest in knowing the bible more, and not just expecting their pastor to show them, but to dive into God’s word themselves. The Role

We’re looking for a visionary, relational, and gospel-centered High School Pastor to lead our 9th–12th grade ministry. This role champions the high school experience at Mission, casts vision, equips volunteers, teaches students, and partners with our NextGen team to help students follow Jesus for a lifetime.

Key Responsibilities

●     Plan and lead weekly high school services, Sunday night gatherings, and special events

●     Cast and carry the vision of Anthem Youth and Mission Church to high school students, leaders and volunteers

●     Serve as the primary communicator and teacher for high school students

●     Champion Bible-centered teaching and spiritual formation

●     Develop and lead a team of paid staff, volunteer coaches and leaders

●     Train, equip, and encourage volunteer leaders using these values: be present, create safe places, partner with parents, make it personal, and move students out

●     Partner with the junior high team to ensure unity and collaboration within Anthem Youth

●     Participate in church-wide events, NextGen initiatives, and staff meetings

●     Strategize around partnering Parents, Leaders and the church

●     Embrace other duties as assigned by the NextGen Pastor

What You Bring

●     A growing relationship with Jesus Christ

●     Alignment with the mission, vision, and values of Mission Community Church

●     A deep love for students and a passion for walking with them through the highs and lows of teenage life

●     Experience in student ministry leadership (preferred: 2+ years)

●     Strong, confident communicator and teacher

●     Ability to write and deliver engaging, biblical messages

●     Proven ability to recruit, develop, and care for volunteer teams

●     Self-starter with creativity and initiative to build life-changing environments

●     Excellent organization, time management, and interpersonal skills

●     Technological proficiency and creativity in designing engaging student experiences

●     High emotional intelligence, positivity, and approachability with students and parents

●     A lifestyle and character that reflect spiritual maturity, humility, and integrity

Bonus Skills (Not Required, but Helpful!)

●     Graphic/media skills (Canva, ProPresenter, Adobe)

●     Experience planning camps or retreats

●     Worship-leading or musical ability
