ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and implement lesson plans and instructional activities in all content areas that are aligned to the CA State Standards and Benchmarks
• Assess students regularly and analyze student results; refine and differentiate classroom instruction based on formative and summative assessment data and student needs
• Create an effective environment for learning
• Communicate regularly with students and their families.
• Be community-minded and builder of relationships
• Collaborate with a grade-level partner, department leads, support staff, and the school administration to improve instructional practices and to develop and implement data-driven plans to best support the needs of students
• Participate in professional development opportunities provided by the school. Create professional growth goals and work to meet these goals throughout the school year.
• Support the mission, vision, and core values of Valley Christian Schools
• Incorporate Biblical principals in education
• Perform other related duties as required and assigned

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum BA/BS Degree in related field
• CA State Teaching Credential (preferred, may be working toward this)
• Experience in working with Middle and High School Students (preferred)
