Position Overview

We're seeking an experienced Highway Design Engineer to lead diverse transportation infrastructure projects. You'll apply your expertise in roadway design, traffic engineering, and ADA compliance while collaborating with government agencies and stakeholders at local, county, and state levels.

Essential Responsibilities

• Lead comprehensive highway design projects from conception to completion
• Develop and review roadway design plans, traffic signal configurations, and ADA compliance solutions
• Create detailed signing, pavement marking, and maintenance of traffic (MPT) plans
• Conduct traffic safety studies and impact assessments
• Prepare construction documentation, cost estimates, and technical specifications
• Manage client relationships and coordinate with cross-functional teams
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
• 0-10 years of progressive experience in transportation engineering
• Proficiency in MicroStation, Civil 3D, and Synchro software
• FE/EIT certification (PE preferred)
• Strong project management and communication skills
• Experience with DOT design standards and specifications
