Highway Designer

 GENERAL PURPOSE FOR THE POSITION

This position is for a Highway Designer to serve Dawood’s Highway/Traffic Group. Successful candidate will report to the Manager of Highway Services and will work directly with Highway Designers and CAD Technicians to develop Roadway Construction Plans and a wide variety of related deliverables.

3. Cross Sections

4. Utility Coordination

5. Pavement Design

6. Guiderail Design

7. Drainage Design

8. Stormwater Management Design

9. E&S Plans

10. Traffic Control Plans

11. Signing and Pavement Marking Plans

12. ADA Ramp Design and Reviews

13. Highway Occupancy Permit Plans and Reviews

14. Highway Lighting Design

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION REQUIRED

Four-year college degree (B.A., B.S., B.S.B.A., etc.)

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

0-4 years related experience and/or training

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED

Engineer-in-Training in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
