Health Information Management (HIM) Director - Large Hospital Setting

We're seeking an experienced Health Information Management (HIM) Director to join our 474-bed hospital facility. This leadership position offers an exciting opportunity to drive operational excellence in health information management while working with cutting-edge healthcare technology systems.

Position Overview

As HIM Director, you'll collaborate with the Regional HIM Director to oversee facility-based operations, implement strategic initiatives, and ensure optimal workflow management. This role combines leadership, technical expertise, and operational management in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage facility-based HIM operations and staff, overseeing daily workflows and operational efficiency
• Drive implementation and optimization of Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, including Horizon/McKesson Patient Folder
• Manage unbilled accounts resolution process and coordinate with facility departments
• Oversee Computer Assisted Coding (CAC) implementation and maintenance
• Ensure compliance with healthcare information regulations and standards
• Direct release of information processes and medical record management
• Lead strategic planning and process improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field
• RHIA or RHIT certification
• Minimum 3 years of HIM Director experience in a large hospital setting (400+ beds)
• Proven leadership experience in healthcare information systems
• Strong knowledge of healthcare compliance and regulatory requirements
