Dietitian

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Dietitian to provide comprehensive nutrition assessment, education, counseling, and individualized dietary interventions. The Dietitian will work collaboratively with physicians and healthcare professionals to support patient health outcomes and promote healthy eating habits.

Essential Functions

• Assess patients’ nutritional needs, dietary restrictions, and current health plans.
  


• Develop and implement individualized dietary care plans.
  


• Provide nutrition counseling and education to patients and families.
  


• Approve patient menus and nutritional supplements.
  


• Advise patients and families on nutrition principles, dietary modifications, food selection, and preparation.
  


• Complete nutritional assessments in accordance with applicable policies and regulations.
  


• Review and approve menus and dietary materials.
  


• Counsel individuals and groups on healthy eating habits and nutrition monitoring.
  


• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to determine nutritional needs and dietary restrictions.
  


• Participate in interdisciplinary treatment teams as appropriate.
  


• Review and update the diet manual annually in collaboration with medical staff.
  


• Provide nutrition education on disease prevention and management.
  


• Monitor food service operations as needed to ensure compliance with nutrition, safety, sanitation, and quality standards.
  


• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field from an accredited university.
  


• Experience with eating disorders and/or substance use populations is strongly preferred.
  


• Strong communication, counseling, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  


• Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
  

Licensure & Certifications

• Current Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential or eligibility for registration/endorsement in the applicable state.
  


• ServSafe certification or comparable food safety certification, where required.
