Registered Dietitian

Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Registered Dietitian to support the delivery of a comprehensive nutrition care program. The Dietitian will collaborate with dietary services and clinical staff to assess patients’ nutritional needs, develop appropriate interventions, and monitor nutritional progress in accordance with professional standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify patients who are at nutritional risk through appropriate screening and assessment.
  




• Assess dietary orders based on the patient’s age, medical condition, nutritional needs, and current status.
  




• Evaluate physical limitations or other factors that may compromise nutritional status.
  




• Accurately calculate metabolic requirements, including energy, protein, fluids, and other specific nutrients.
  




• Develop and recommend appropriate nutrition interventions based on subjective and objective patient data.
  




• Monitor patients’ nutritional status and response to interventions.
  




• Complete accurate and timely documentation of initial and ongoing nutritional assessments and patient progress through chart review.
  




• Collaborate with dietary services and other healthcare professionals to ensure appropriate nutrition care.
  




• Serve as a resource to dietary staff regarding nutrition-related practices and patient needs.
  




• Oversee completion of diet slips three times per week for patients requiring special dietary needs.
  




• Ensure nutrition care practices comply with applicable professional and regulatory standards.
  




• Perform other duties as assigned.
  

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field required.
  




• Current Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) credential required.
  




• Must meet applicable Massachusetts requirements for practicing as a Registered Dietitian.
  




• Strong knowledge of clinical nutrition, nutritional assessment, and therapeutic diets.
  




• Excellent documentation, communication, and organizational skills.
  




• Ability to work collaboratively with dietary and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
