Hiring Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) for School Year

Location: Chester, Pennsylvania

Start Date/End Date: ASAP until End of School Year (EOSY) with likelihood of renewal

Caseload: 1 on 1 support for 3rd grader on the spectrum

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Job Description: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team immediately. The RBT will provide one-on-one support to a 3rd-grade student on the autism spectrum, helping to implement behavior intervention plans and promote positive behavioral changes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the life of a student and contribute to their overall success within the school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct one-on-one support to a 3rd-grade student on the autism spectrum.
  • Implement behavior intervention plans developed by the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to address specific target behaviors and promote skill development.
  • Collect data on student behavior and progress, and assist in data analysis as needed.
  • Collaborate with the BCBA, teachers, and other school staff to ensure consistency and effectiveness of interventions across settings.
  • Utilize positive reinforcement and evidence-based strategies to encourage desired behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to provide updates on student progress and strategies for generalization of skills.
  • Maintain confidentiality of student information and adhere to ethical guidelines and professional standards.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, or related field preferred.
  • Completion of Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training program and certification required.
  • Previous experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder preferred.
  • Strong understanding of behavior principles and ability to implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a BCBA.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and school staff.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong commitment to supporting the needs of the student and promoting their success.
