The Histotechnologist will perform routine and specialized histology techniques, data acquisition, and compilation using state-of-the-art molecular pathology techniques in a client environment.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Conduct routine histology techniques including tissue processing, trimming, embedding, microtomy, and cryo-sectioning
• Perform routine and specialized pathology staining techniques, including H&E, special stains, and novel molecular pathology assays (IHC, RNAscope, multiplexing) using automated platforms and manual methods
• Maintain laboratory equipment, keep accurate records, and ensure proper archiving of pathology specimens
• Perform digital image analyses using various software (e.g., HALO, MATLAB) to support discovery pathology programs
• Collaborate with board-certified anatomic pathologists for QC and algorithm approval, following good laboratory and GLP-like practices

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biological sciences with 3-4 years of experience, or master's degree with 1-2 years of experience in a research or pharmaceutical-based histology laboratory
• Proficiency in histology techniques such as tissue processing and staining
• Experience with scanning and digital pathology platforms
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Preferred Qualification

• ASCP certification (HT or HTL)

Additional Details: 

The position is onsite, full-time, Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm, with overtime as needed. Candidates living within a commutable distance of Boston, MA, and the surrounding areas are encouraged to apply.
