HLT Specialist w/Mandarin (2025-0071)

We are actively hiring a HLT Specialist w/Mandarin to join our team working in Reston, VA. You will be responsible for supporting a government agency and your office with translation, transcription, and/or interpretation services.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Linguists will provide translations focusing mainly on topics in science and technology.
• Oral interpretation for a range of meetings: policy analytical, technical exchange/engagement meetings spread across all levels from working group to high official visits as required.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
• Bachelor’s degree is desired
• Minimum 10 years relevant experience
• Interpretation between source and Target Language
• Translation into both English and Target Language
• Transcription from Source Language into English
• Quality Control and Editing of language products
• Collection, Content Management, Triage, Workflow, Terminology Management
• Monitoring, Scanning Selection, Social Media, Blogging
• Language Training,
• HLT
• Summarizing/Gisting while drawing upon linguistic or cultural expertise
• Subject Matter Expertise in areas of  Cyber, Military, Science and Technology, Politics, and Sponsor Organization

PREFERRED SKILLS

• Interpretation between source and target language
• Prior service/veteran, current US military experience (Reserves or Guard), or related experience working with US military entities
• Prior experience supporting IC linguist requirements
