Home Care Assistant

University Home Care Inc is seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Home Care Assistants in Fort Gratiot, MI. In this role, you will provide essential support to clients in their homes, ensuring their comfort, safety, and wellbeing. You will assist with daily living activities and help clients maintain their independence and quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care assistance such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting


• Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed


• Help clients with mobility and transferring safely


• Perform light housekeeping tasks including laundry, cleaning, and organizing


• Medication reminders 


• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals


• Maintain accurate records of care and report any changes in client status

Requirements

• Ability to pass background checks 


• Compassionate, reliable, and patient with strong interpersonal skills


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team


• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred
