Locations: Serving Stoneham, Wakefield, Woburn, Melrose, Reading, Lynn, Peabody, Salem, Danvers, Beverly, Andover, Lawrence, Haverhill, Lowell, Methuen, and surrounding towns throughout Middlesex, Essex, and the Merrimack Valley.

Schedule: Full-Time or Part-Time | Flexible Hours | Short Shifts Available

About the Role

Abernathy Home Care is seeking reliable, compassionate Homemakers and Heavy Chore Specialists to join our dedicated team serving elders through ASAP programs, including Mystic Valley Elder Services, Greater Lynn Senior Services (GLSS), and Minute Man Senior Services.

You’ll help older adults remain safe, clean, and comfortable in their homes by providing essential household support and cleaning services that promote dignity and independence.

✨ No experience required — we’re willing to train the right candidates!

Responsibilities

• 
  

  Perform light homemaking tasks such as cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, grocery shopping, and errands.

  
  


• 
  

  Provide heavy chore services such as deep cleaning, decluttering, and sanitizing homes for safety and comfort.

  
  


• 
  

  Communicate professionally and report changes in client condition or environment.

  
  


• 
  

  Maintain accurate visit documentation through our mobile app (training provided).

  
  


• 
  

  Travel between client homes using your own reliable vehicle.

  
  

Requirements

✅ Reliable car and valid Massachusetts driver’s license
✅ Ability to work short shifts and flexible schedules
✅ Must pass a background check and reference screening
✅ Current TB test or chest X-ray
✅ Able to perform both homemaking and heavy chore assignments
✅ Dependable, trustworthy, and professional
✅ No prior experience needed
