Home Care Nurse- Fort Myers

Location: Fort Myers 
Pay- $28-$33 an hour 
Position Type:  Full-Time (Overnight)
Schedule: 7 days a week 10p-6a 

Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to provide overnight care for a 68-year-old male living with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis). The patient requires total care, but the primary focus of the shift is ensuring his CPAP mask remains secure and functional throughout the night, allowing him to rest comfortably and safely.

Key Responsibilities:
 

• Monitor and assist with CPAP mask placement and comfort throughout the night

• Reposition patient as needed to maintain comfort and airway safety

• Provide incontinence care and repositioning to prevent skin breakdown

• Administer medications as prescribed

• Monitor for any changes in condition and respond appropriately

• Maintain clear documentation of overnight care provided

• Communicate with family and/or care team regarding any concerns or observations

Qualifications:

• Current, valid LPN or RN license in the state of [Insert State]

• Current CPR certification

• Prior experience with ALS or patients requiring total care is preferred but not required

• Experience with CPAP or BiPAP preferred

• Ability to work independently in a private home setting

• Qualifications:

• Current unencumbered LPN/RN license in the state of Florida
• Minimum one (1) year experience as a Registered Nurse in a supervised setting within the last three (3) years
• Successful completion of the skills assessment specific to the areas of experience including any specialty areas
• In compliance with state and Federal regulations
• CPR
• Valid AHCA/ level two background screening
• TB test showing a negative result
