Weekend On-Call Coordinator

Interim HealthCare | Part-Time | St. Louis & Jefferson Counties

Hourly pay for active hours + $250 weekend on-call stipend.

Help keep care running smoothly when our office is closed. Interim HealthCare is seeking a dependable, organized, and compassionate Weekend On-Call Coordinator to support our clients, families, and caregivers.

Schedule & Availability

• 
  

  On-call availability Friday at 4:00 PM through Monday at 9:00 AM during assigned weekends.

  
  


• 
  

  Attend the Friday team briefing, generally around 4:00 PM, in person or by Zoom.

  
  


• 
  

  Remain reachable by phone, text, and email throughout the assigned weekend.

  
  


• 
  

  Be available to travel to client homes for caregiver introductions or approved backup coverage.

  
  


• 
  

  Occasional additional weekends, holidays, training, or after-hours meetings may be required.

  
  

This role combines phone and computer coordination with required local travel as client needs arise. Reliable transportation and flexibility are essential.

What You’ll Do

• 
  

  Review the Friday handoff and stay informed about weekend schedules, open shifts, new clients, and priority concerns.

  
  


• 
  

  Monitor caregiver attendance and respond promptly to missed clock-ins, call-offs, and schedule changes.

  
  


• 
  

  Contact qualified caregivers to fill open shifts, confirm assignments, and keep clients and families updated.

  
  


• 
  

  Answer questions and respond professionally to client, family, and caregiver concerns.

  
  


• 
  

  Follow agency emergency procedures and escalate urgent or unresolved issues.

  
  


• 
  

  Contact new referrals promptly, complete follow-up attempts, and communicate next steps to the weekday team.

  
  


• 
  

  Complete in-home caregiver introductions, reviewing care plans, duties, and household expectations.

  
  


• 
  

  Follow the agency’s backup coverage process when staffing resources are exhausted. Must be able to provide skilled personal care.

  
  


• 
  

  Document communications, staffing efforts, schedule changes, and resolutions accurately in AxisCare.

  
  


• 
  

  Submit a weekend recap by Sunday at 10:00 PM and complete the Monday handoff by 9:00 AM, including any overnight updates.

  
  

What We’re Looking For

• 
  

  High school diploma or equivalent.

  
  


• 
  

  Healthcare scheduling, home care, customer service, or administrative experience preferred.

  
  


• 
  

  Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and follow-through skills.

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to manage competing priorities and make sound decisions during urgent situations.

  
  


• Must have skill set in order to fill in shifts as needed.


• 
  

  Confidence using computers, scheduling software, email, and phone systems. AxisCare experience is a plus.

  
  


• 
  

  Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel throughout our service area.

  
  


• 
  

  Professionalism, discretion, and respect for confidential client and employee information.
