South Mountain Creamery is a dairy farm family: we bottle our own milk and make our own butter, yogurt, and ice cream. We brought the milkman back in 2001 and have been making home deliveries to the DMV area for 24 years and counting! Over the years, we have grown to be the largest and most efficient home delivery business in the area. We are currently hiring for a Home Delivery Relief Driver.

Our Delivery Relief Drivers are self-motivated, careful route drivers, enjoy working independently, and are open to doing a wide range of tasks.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  Driving established home delivery routes-which may include areas like Baltimore, Virginia, West Virginia and DC

Responsible for making accurate home deliveries

Provide backup for other home delivery drivers

Pickup wholesale products

Making re-deliveries

Delivering high value single deliveries

Re-staging the dock, reporting problems to management

Helping in production or packing when needed

Complete other delivery tasks as needed

Assist other departments as neededUtilizing a tablet to read customer orders

Carrying deliveries to the customer's preferred delivery location

Lifting 40-50lbs from ground level to waist high

Loading and unloading vehicles

This position will be cross trained to perform other production functions and will act as an all-star team player while helping in other areas as needed.

No sales are involved in this role however, the ideal candidate will have some delivery experience, maintains flexibility in their day to day and is passionate about making sure deliveries are perfect – every time.

The shift for this position is Tuesday - Friday 7am – 5pm and is paid a daily rate.

$288.00 per day, plus tips
