Stonerise Home Health is currently recruiting a Home Health Director of Business Development.

Our ideal candidate would be based in the Morgantown, WV region and able to travel to the Northern Ohio and West Virginia markets, as needed.

Summary:

Stonerise Home Health, a member of the CommuniCare Family of Companies, is looking for a Regional Home Health Director of Business Development to help drive growth in the state of West Virginia, as well as an existing home health branch in St. Clairsville, OH. This includes supporting the day-to-day business development operations throughout his/her established territory by overseeing and assisting the account executives in establishing and developing new business contacts, maintaining current relationships, and developing and implementing a sales and marketing plan. This position will require extensive overnight travel at times.

What You Will Do as a Home Health Director of Business Development

As Director of Business Development for Home Health, you will lead and manage the HH Business Development team to drive referral growth and expand market presence. This role focuses on developing and maintaining strong relationships with physicians, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, and other referral sources. You will collaborate closely with clinical and operational leadership to ensure seamless communication, high-quality service delivery, and strong customer satisfaction. As a key member of the leadership team, you will monitor market trends, implement strategic growth initiatives, and ensure compliance with all regulatory and ethical standards while achieving organizational goals. 

Some of your primary responsibilities will include:

• Create and manage sales performance goals for the region.
• Monitor and direct the business development staffing strategy.
• Ensure that the sales team has the necessary training and resources to drive business from physicians, facilities, and other referral sources.
• Create and direct the region’s enterprise growth strategy, partnering with health care providers to ensure a continuum of care.
• Work closely with the operations team to ensure the successful execution of the region’s operational growth strategy.
• Function as a member of the Stonerise Home Health leadership team for the region.
• Ensure that company compliance, performance, and HR guidelines are maintained in the region.
• Monitor and evaluate employee performance.
• Hold employees accountable for the attainment of defined goals and objectives.
• Execute effective performance redirection when needed.
• Develop employees through coaching, mentoring, and formal/on-the-job training and development opportunities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Is at least 18 years of age.
• Three years of related healthcare experience in sales, which should include working with multiple referral sources and quality assurance or risk management.
• If appropriate, maintains current clinical credentials at all times.
• Can read, follow written instructions, and document services provided while being innovative with ever-evolving business development strategies for success.
• Demonstrates autonomy, organization, assertiveness, flexibility, and cooperation in performing job responsibilities.
• Excellent organizational skills are required.
• Experience working with home health care standards and quality assurance or risk management strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of the home health care services process on compliance with visits, authorization processes for insurance carriers, and medical records requirements.
• Is flexible and cooperative in fulfilling role obligations.
• Ability to communicate professionally with employees and those in the communities.
• Computer software proficiency preferred, including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, and experience working with electronic medical records systems.
• Experience with Matrix Care software preferred.
• Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and organization requirements and is in good working order.
