Location: San Diego, CA


The Manager, Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) is responsible for overseeing daily operations within the revenue cycle process, ensuring timely and accurate billing, coding, collections, and reimbursement. This role plays a key part in optimizing revenue cycle efficiency, maintaining compliance, and improving financial performance through data-driven decision-making and process improvements.




Key Responsibilities:



  • Revenue Cycle Oversight: Manage day-to-day operations of the revenue cycle, including patient registration, charge capture, coding, claims processing, and collections.

  • Process Optimization: Identify inefficiencies in workflows and implement best practices to improve billing accuracy and revenue collection.

  • Compliance & Regulations: Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations, payer policies, and industry standards, including HIPAA and CMS guidelines.

  • Financial Performance Monitoring: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to revenue cycle operations and implement corrective actions when necessary.

  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor revenue cycle staff, providing training and professional development opportunities.

  • Denials Management: Monitor and analyze claim denials, implement resolution strategies, and work with payers to minimize future denials.

  • Patient Financial Experience: Oversee patient billing inquiries and ensure a smooth and transparent financial experience.

  • Technology & Automation: Leverage RCM software, electronic health records (EHR), and automation tools to enhance efficiency.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with clinical, finance, and IT teams to ensure seamless revenue cycle operations.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in revenue cycle management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.

  • Strong knowledge of healthcare billing, coding (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS), claims processing, and payer regulations.

  • Experience with RCM software, EHR systems, and automation tools.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

  • Strong communication and leadership abilities.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment while managing multiple priorities.
