Job Description

Remain At Home is currently seeking RNs and LPNs for in-home shifts up to 12 hours. The shifts are one-on-one with elderly and chronically ill clients.

This position is perfect for nurses looking to get off the hospital floor or nurses looking to make some extra money.

Duties: Provision of personal assistive care which may include, but is not limited to, the following:

• Bathing and dressing of patient. Bathing may be a bed bath, shower, or tub
• Personal hygiene. Oral care, nail care, and basic hygiene and grooming
• Mobility assistance including ambulation, wheel chair mobility, bed mobility
• Toileting, including appropriate care for catheters, ostomies and other such devices
• Meal preparation/ assistance with nutritional intake if necessary
• Turning of bedridden clients and changing of bed clothes, soiled sheets
• Laundry, vacuuming, dusting and other such cleaning tasks
• Organization of client’s room or personal living space
• Kitchen tasks including washing dishes, emptying/loading dishwasher, etc.
• Client errands and transportation (medication pick up/grocery shopping. etc)
• Pet care 
• Vital signs (heart rate, blood pressure, respiratory rate, temperature)
• Recording of intake and output (urine and bowel movements)
• Reporting client’s mood, behavior or other emotional status
• Regularly assess the nursing needs of the client
• Participate in the establishment and implementation of the client’s service plan
• Provide nursing services as needed and in accordance with the client’s service plan
• Report all problems, changes in condition, and progress of client to the Case Manager and the client’s personal physician as soon as the nurse is aware.                    
• Medication Administration/Management as needed
• Complete all clinical documentation appropriately and within acceptable time frame.

In addition to the above duties, all licensed field staff will practice within their legal scope of practice while maintaining professional boundaries, dress in professional attire, and exhibit professional behaviors that promote unity within the company.

Working conditions:

• Daily driving to and from appointments with clients and to the Agency office
• Flexible work week to include weekends and holidays if needed, for which compensation will be provided
• Other conditions may be indicated based on clients, employees or business environment
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current, valid license as a registered professional nurse, licensed practical/vocational nurse
• Reliable personal vehicle with valid insurance
• Negative criminal background history check and pre-employment drug screening
• Proficient use of spoken and written English
