Location: Min No Aya Win Human Services Center - Onsite
Reports To: Home Health Services Coordinator
Probationary Period: 90 days – Full time; 120 days – Part time
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (Hourly)
Classification: Non-Child-Related NA
Driver’s License: Class D driver’s license required. Must have vehicle with proof of insurance.
Wage: $17.31 to $19.47 hourly
Responsibilities
Receive telephone calls from staff and clients. Take and relay messages to appropriate staff.
Maintains Home Health Services Department staff personnel records. This includes: obtaining current copy of various licenses required for each department staff, CPR certification, continuing education documentation, medical information as appropriate, driver’s license and proof of car insurance.
Assist Home Health Services Department staff to update all necessary paperwork needed to carry out their job duties.
Track Home Health Services Department staff with signing in/out procedures to enable clients and staff to communicate effectively.
Prepare purchase orders and check requests as needed.
Assist in gathering data for reports.
Assist in the planning and arrangements for meetings, conferences and travel for Home Health Services Department staff.
Maintains copies of all local and long-distance travel done by department staff and submits requests and reports to Human Services (HSD) Administrative Services staff.
Assists staff in maintaining all department equipment, supplies, educational material, and client records in an orderly and readily available fashion at both Min no Aya win (MNAW) and Center for American Indian Resources (CAIR).
Assist Home Health Services Department staff in community screenings, immunization clinics and other HSD activities as appropriate.
Assists Home Health Services Department Coordinator with grant filing and organization.
Assists Home Health Services Department Coordinator monitor the department budget and other grant budgets within the department.
Attends all department meetings, takes minutes and distributes appropriate copies to staff in a timely manner.
Manages Home Health Services Department calendar.
Orders, delivers and picks up supplies as needed.
May be requested to work at other Human Service Division location(s) or off site for community events.
Schedules all maintenance for department vehicles.
Appropriate work attire is required.
Must attend all mandatory department trainings.
Ensures confidentiality of financial records and all records for employees and/or clients.
Displays a responsive and professional manner in promptly responding to all requests, complaints, and problems.
Recognizes that each employee is a representative of the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and is responsible for demonstrating courtesy, respect, and sensitivity to the needs of all others, including visitors and co-workers.
Represents the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and the department in a positive and professional manner in the community.
Required to maintain proper attendance including reporting to work on time in accordance with applicable policies.
Maintains a clean and organized work area.
Due to changes and modifications in the job from time to time, employees are required to be flexible and assume other responsibilities assigned by management as deemed necessary.
Qualifications
Previous secretary or Office experience preferred.
High School Diploma or G.E.D. required
One-year office experience is required.
Knowledge of computer applications to include word processing, Access, Excel and Microsoft Outlook is required.
Knowledge of Native American communities, culture, customs, and beliefs is preferred.
Experience working with Native American clients, communities, and the ability to demonstrate cultural sensitivity is preferred.
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing is required.
Ability to work independently and establish priorities is required.
Attention to detail and accuracy is required.
Ability to establish professional and harmonious working relationships on all projects and with all parties involved.
Subject to drug and alcohol testing in accordance with the Fond du Lac Reservation’s Personnel Policies.

Subject to immunization review and submitted proof of required vaccinations.
