Whitney Holdings is a small business operating in Michigan and Florida. We are looking for an experienced Authorization Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will be reliable and professional, acting as a communication point between technicians in the field, customers and warranty companies.

Job Summary:


In this position, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that home warranty services are properly authorized and approved by the warranty companies. Your attention to detail and knowledge of the authorization processes will contribute to the smooth operation of our business. The ideal candidate must be an excellent communicator and able to take the appropriate action with little supervision. Our goal is to service our customers and our employees.

Duties:
  • Receiving information from the field and contacting the warranty companies for approval on pre-authorizations
  • Verify coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for warranty work
  • Review and process authorization requests in a timely manner
  • Effectively communicate with customers, technicians and warranty companies
  • Follow all warrant companies policies and procedures
  • Inbound and outbound calling for all processes
  • Timely response to customers voicemails and direct messages
  • Possibility to cross train on lead management, property management and other areas of the business
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • Ability to communication accurate information
  • Must have reliable internet access
  • Computer savvy using Microsoft programs and internal applications and systems
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong attention to detail and accurate record keeping
  • Home warranty authorization experience is a plus
  • Knowledge in multiple trades (electrical, plumbing, HVAC)/technical experience is a plus
