POSITION SUMMARY:
This position has a dual role, with half the day spent in the office and the other half in the field. The Home Care Scheduling Assistant is responsible for coordinating and managing schedules for LIFE PACE Home Care participants and aide staff. The HomeCare CNA/Specialist is primarily responsible for helping assist with tasks including, but not limited to light housekeeping, companionship, meal preparation, running errands, and shopping. Encouraging independence and involvement of the client while performing assigned tasks.

HomeCare CNA/Specialist
CERTIFICATION, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
· Must have a valid Oklahoma driver’s license good driving record and car insurance.
· Upon hire, will obtain/maintain current certifications in CPR and First Aid
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
· High school diploma or GED.
· A minimum of one-year experience working with the elderly population preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:
· Computer skills including but not limited to MS Office, MS Excel and Scheduling program.
· Knowledge of medical terminology required.
· Interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
· Ability to carry out directions, read and write.
· Maturity and ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job.
· Demonstrates a thorough understanding of HIPAA/HITECH laws and the related policies and procedures within the program. Attends and successfully completes mandatory HIPAA/HITECH training as required.
· Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines, handle several tasks simultaneously.
· Ability to follow directions and work independently with minimal supervision.
· Must have excellent communication skills, be able to cope with mental and emotional stress related to the position, have flexibility and personal integrity.
