Homeless Triage Coordinator
The Triage Center Program is operated by Community Family Advocates, in close coordination with staff from the Office of Community Services at Allegheny County’s Department of Human Services. The Triage Center Program exists to provide an immediate place to sleep for someone whose only other option might be rough sleeping, while providing support to the individuals to quickly access other shelter bed vacancies across the county every day, as bed vacancies appear.
The Homeless Triage Coordinator will work Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM-3:00 PM. The role is two-fold: (1) to coordinate referrals of overnight guests in the Triage Center to shelter vacancies across the homeless Continuum of Care and (2) to coordinate referrals from outreach staff for people into the Triage Center Program. The Homeless Triage Coordinator will accept calls regarding referrals from outreach staff between 7:00 AM-3:00 PM Monday through Friday, and will work with outreach staff to confirm bed holds for these individuals. The ideal applicant will be skilled in coordination with service providers and client engagement and interaction.
Salary range: $55,000-$60,000 annually

Minimum Requirements:
A Master’s Degree in a Social Science AND Two (2) years’ experience in social services or a related field OR A Bachelor’s Degree in a Social Science AND Five (5) years’ experience in social services or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
