Job Description - Hose Mechanic

THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN FORT WAYNE, INDIANA.

Job Responsibilities:

Remove and replace hydraulic hoses on material handling, construction, manufacturing equipments, etc.

Hands on job, able to diagnose, replace, manufacture and install blown hydraulic hoses

Carry out service calls in Fort Wayne & surrounding area using company service van

Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing customers

40 hours work week minimum, normal hours of operations 8.00a-4.30p M-F and rotating schedule for on-call

Other duties as assigned by your manager including but not limited to inventory management, van cleanup, customer engagement.

Essential Job Functions:

Must be able to move 50lbs+ frequently and across short distances

Must be able to move and traverse areas that can be uneven

Must be able to ascend/descend a ladder to repair equipment

Must be able to position self to repair equipment in small spaces as well as bend down frequently

Must be able to occasionally work at heights possibly exceeding 25 ft with a safety harness.

Must be able to work in outdoor weather conditions

Must be able to operate phones, tablets, and other technology

Must be able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations

Must be able to observe details at close range (within a few feet to a few inches of the observer)

Must be able to be on-call one week approximately every other week, resulting in possible overtime

Must be able to perform other job duties as assigned

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED

Minimum 1-2+ years professional experience in related field, Auto/Diesel/Forklift/Industrial mechanic

Good Communication Skills

Problem Solver

Positive attitude

Self-motivated

Mature and Career Oriented (no job hoppers)

Clean driving record MUST

Ability to work on-call during nights and weekends

Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds

Available for background check & drug screening

Benefits:

Competitive salary $15-$20 per hour (depending on experience)
