Hospice Aide (CHHA) – Seaport Hospice

Pay Range: $20.00 – $28.00 per hour
Job Type: Full Time

About the Role

As a Hospice Aide, you will provide personal care and comfort to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. You’ll assist with daily living activities, observe and report patient conditions, and ensure a safe and supportive environment for patients and families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform personal care needs promptly and respectfully

  • Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding

  • Take and record vital signs as directed

  • Provide skin care and prevent tissue breakdown

  • Assist with ambulation and prescribed exercises

  • Maintain cleanliness and order in the patient’s living area

  • Offer respite care for families and caregivers

  • Document care provided and observations accurately

Qualifications:

  • Active Home Health Aide Certification through the California Department of Public Health

  • Understanding of hospice philosophy and comfort with end-of-life care

  • Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care

  • Empathy for the needs of the ill, injured, and frail

  • Current CPR certification

  • Valid driver’s license and insured, reliable vehicle
