About You
You’re not just an RN. You’re a presence.

  • You listen longer than most.

  • You know the difference between calm and quiet, between relief and erasure.

  • You move slowly not because you’re tired, but because you respect the moment.

  • You recognize the sacred when a hand trembles, when breath grows shallow, when words no longer come.

  • You have a deep tolerance for the truth—not needing to fix, but able to stay.

  • Whether you come from ICU or home health, what matters most is your integrity, your discernment, and your capacity to abide.

Core Responsibilities

  • Provide skilled, ethical, end-of-life nursing care in alignment with hospice standards.

  • Advocate for the patient’s voice—especially when it’s fading.

  • Communicate clearly and compassionately with families in distress.

  • Coordinate with an interdisciplinary team to create space for comfort, dignity, and grace.

  • Refuse unnecessary sedation or life-shortening practices without full informed consent and clarity.

  • Participate in legacy and memory rituals if requested (we honor presence as care).

Qualifications

  • Current RN license in the state of Oregon

  • 1+ years in hospice, palliative, geriatric, or acute care settings preferred

  • Willingness to unlearn protocols that prioritize convenience over conscience

  • Deep understanding of trauma-informed care, grief literacy, and relational medicine

  • Calm under pressure, kind without pretense, and courageous in complexity
