Average Daily Volume: Less than 20 patients per day (Med/Surg: 8-12, ICU: 3.6)
Case Mix: Med/Surg and ICU patients
Rounding: Yes, rounding on Med/Surg and ICU patients (APP rounds on Med/Surg)

FACILITY INFORMATION

Support Staff Available: APP (APRN/PA) coverage during day shift

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
Credentialing Timeline: Expedited Credentialing

REQUIRED PROCEDURES

Vent management
Central Line insertion
Intubation

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Licenses: Active New York medical license
DEA: Active DEA

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage ICU patients including ventilator management, central line insertion, and intubation.
Provide 12-hour night shift coverage for hospitalist service.
Supervise and collaborate with APP who rounds on med/surg patients.
Monitor and manage average daily census of 8-12 med/surg and 3.6 ICU patients.
Ensure timely documentation and patient care coordination.
