Summary

Performs simple food and beverage preparation tasks, serves beverages and food and cleans up after meal service in compliance with general sanitation and safety guidelines for food service operations.

Responsible for stocking kitchen with needed supplies and interact with residents, staff and visitors.

Responsible for the general sanitation of the Country Kitchens which includes refrigerators, microwaves, steam tables, table linens and set ups.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Monitors warmers and steam table preheating to ensure a safe environment for residents, staff and families.

Sanitize, refill and distribute resident water pitchers during the afternoon shift

Serves resident beverages / meals waiter/waitress style according to predetermined menu, portions, therapeutic requirements and preferences to meet resident’s needs.

Stocks kitchens according to pars set and orders placed.

Responsible for after meal clean up and set up of resident dining rooms in accordance to ASN standards.

Responsible for assembling afternoon snack cart and distributing snacks to all residents in the assigned area. Will also assemble a snack cart for evening snack.

Will assist in communicating resident menu requests to Dining Services to expedite these requests.

Prepares and portions foods / beverage as assigned according to directions to assure consistent quality of products.

Washes dishes according to established procedures to meet health safety regulations.

Completes all cleaning assignments as directed to maintain sanitation standards.

Uses tools and equipment according to directions to ensure safety.

Attends all in-services to maintain a well trained work force.

Education and/or Experience

No prior experience or training.
