MARU ROOFTOP...

Maru Rooftop is a high-energy, 124-seat cocktail bar and lounge offering expertly crafted drinks, Nikkei-inspired bites, and breathtaking views of Tampa Bay. We’re looking for a charismatic and poised Host to be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for an electric and unforgettable experience. This role goes beyond seating guests—it’s about orchestrating the flow of the bar, enhancing the social vibe, and ensuring every guest feels welcomed into the vibrant Maru atmosphere.

Hours of operation: 4:00 PM – Midnight, 7 days a week

What You’ll Do:

• Master the Welcome: Greet guests with energy and warmth, setting the tone for a sophisticated yet lively night.
• Curate the Crowd: Manage reservations, walk-ins, and bar seating to optimize flow while maintaining the buzz of the space.
• Be the Vibe Architect: Engage with guests, anticipate their needs, and help craft a seamless experience, whether it's accommodating special requests or recommending signature cocktails.
• Facilitate the Flow: Work closely with bartenders, servers, and managers to ensure smooth transitions, an efficient waitlist, and an elevated guest experience.
• Elevate the Energy: Contribute to the overall atmosphere—whether it’s keeping the bar area inviting, coordinating with DJs/live music, or simply bringing your best hospitality game every night.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For:

• A natural people person with a knack for hospitality and social engagement.
• Someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-energy bar/lounge environment.
• A strong communicator who can juggle multiple tasks with grace.
• Previous experience in a high-volume bar, lounge, or restaurant is preferred but not required for those with the right attitude and ambition.
