We are seeking a friendly and organized Host to join our dynamic team at Tannahill Tavern & Music Hall. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing a warm welcome and ensuring a positive dining experience. This role requires excellent communication skills and a passion for customer service in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Responsibilities

Greet guests as they arrive and escort them to their tables.

Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimize flow and guest satisfaction.

Provide menus and inform guests of daily specials.

Maintain a clean and organized front-of-house area, including the host stand.

Answer phone calls with proper etiquette, taking reservations or providing information as needed.

Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction.

Handle guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism, ensuring a positive dining experience.

Assist in managing waitlists during busy periods, communicating wait times effectively to guests.

Skills

Previous Host experience is preferred, with a background in food service or restaurant environments.

Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, essential for effective guest relations.

Experience in hospitality or hotel services can enhance guest interaction capabilities.

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Strong phone etiquette for handling reservations and inquiries professionally.
