More Maitri, Inc. is a non-profit human service agency dedicated to providing supports and services to persons with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
More Maitri, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Host Home
provider who is fluent in American Sign language. A Host Home Provider is an
individual (or Individuals) who provide residential support in their home to
persons receiving comprehensive services as an independent contractor. Contractors receive competitive stipends to provide care to
individual(s) in the provider’s home.
SKILLS:
Fluent in American Sign Language (ASL)
Preferably experience as a Host Home Provider
Experience and
knowledge working with the developmentally disabled population preferred
Must have dependable and reliable
transportation with the ability to safely transport
Excellent social skills to interact with
families and individuals with developmental disabilities
Willing to provide support to individuals
with challenging behavior
Detail-oriented and task-oriented
Must be a dependable and motivated person.
Must have appropriate living environment with at least one available bedroom
Passion for actively working to improve the
lives of persons with disabilities
Knowledge and understanding of developmental
disabilities, mental health, and trauma
Skilled in providing behavioral interventions
in an effective, calm, and caring manner
Able to work collaboratively within an Interdisciplinary team
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Overall management of Medical and Mental Health
Services
Assist with medications
management and support
Provide transportation to and from
appointments and other activities
Completion of daily documentation and
submission of documentation monthly to More Maitri, Inc.
Assist with daily living
and personal care support
Assist in providing
meaningful activities in the community
Provide meals and assist with meal preparation
Support and assistance in monetary management
Provide daily services
and supports
Ensure overall health and safety of the
person served to include environmental compliance
REQUIREMENTS:
Must be at least 21 years old
Must have a GED or diploma
Current Colorado Driver’s License and
Insurance
Complete State mandated background checks
Ability to lift 50-75 pounds
Must be able to obtain Host Home Liability
Insurance
Must have Homeowner’s or Renter’s Insurance
Must be able to pass a HUD inspection and Environmental Inspection
Yearly Tuberculosis Testing
Must possess or be able to obtain CPR/First Aid, CPI and QMAP training.
Be able to complete annual training
requirements provided by More Maitri Inc.
