Starpoint is seeking an immediate Host Home Provider (Roommate Caregiver) to live with and support two amazing adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). This is more than a job — it is a chance to build meaningful relationships, create a home, and make a difference every single day.

What is a Host Home Provider?

Host Home Providers are independent contractors who live with the individuals they support, offering residential care and companionship in a safe, nurturing home environment. You will help promote independence and quality of life — all while running your own caregiving business.

About the Roommates:

Roommate #1:

• Needs support with hygiene (mostly reminders – independently completes tasks)
• Requires medication administration and help with money management.
• Currently seeking employment
• Enjoys gaming and going to events in the community

Roommate #2:

• Needs support with hygiene (reminders and occasional help after recent hip      surgery)
• Requires medication administration and help with money management.
• Attends a Day Program Mon–Thurs, 8:30 AM–2:30 PM
• Enjoys visiting and coffee with friends.

Responsibilities Include:

• Creating a safe and welcoming home
• Supporting daily living and medication routines
• Encouraging independence and life skills
• Helping foster community involvement and social connections
• Collaborating with care teams and family
• Maintaining care documentation
• Providing emotional and behavioral support

Requirements

Requirements:

• 18+ with a high school diploma or GED
• Reliable transportation and clean driving record
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Background check clearance
• Completion of required training (CPR/First Aid, QMAP, etc.)
• Knowledge of IDD, mental health, and trauma-informed care
• Homeowner’s or renter’s insurance, auto insurance, and professional liability      insurance
