We’re currently seeking a professional and personable Host or Hostess to join our front-of-house team full time. If you have a warm demeanor, strong organizational skills, and enjoy creating a memorable first impression, we’d love to hear from you.

Position Overview:
As the first face guests see, you set the tone for their experience at The Carrington. This role involves more than simply greeting and seating — it requires attentiveness, grace under pressure, and a focus on smooth guest flow throughout service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Warmly welcome and graciously greet all guests upon arrival
   
• Open the front door for guests whenever possible as they enter or exit
   
• Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently, offering accurate wait times
   
• Accommodate special seating requests and preferences whenever possible
   
• Ensure balanced seating across service stations to support smooth service
   
• Escort guests to tables, present menus, and introduce their server
   
• Monitor the dining area to keep seating flowing and guest experience seamless
   
• Assist with basic server and busser support during peak hours
   
• Handle guest payments professionally and accurately
   
• Contribute to a positive team environment by communicating clearly with servers, bussers, and kitchen staff
   
• Assist with writing the daily feature board
   
• Maintain a secure and orderly front-of-house area during opening and closing
   
• Thank guests sincerely as they depart, inviting them to return

• Availability for morning shifts and weekends
   
• Comfortable standing for extended periods (up to 5 hours)
   
• Well-groomed appearance and commitment to high presentation standards
   
• No prior experience required — we’ll provide the training
   

Compensation & Benefits:

• Starting pay: $17/hour
   
• Schedule: Full time (32–40 hours per week), with morning and weekend availability required
