Hostler Driver

We are looking for skilled individuals to join our Operations team to fully support our yard activities and internal inventory transfers within the mid-south. You will play a key role on improving Titan’s operational teams by ensuring docks remain open when containers and trailers are empty, swapping our completed trailers and containers, and transferring inventory between our Horn Lake and Memphis facilities. The successful candidate for this position will operate a hostler to move trailers and/or containers to/from parking areas to the docks for loading/unloading. Driver will also be required to transport units to/from Titan Brands facilities across the midsouth.

In the Hostler Driver role, you will: (Essential Duties and Responsibilities)

•  Support trailer movements at the distribution centers (at least 30-40 containers per day) 
•  Drive and maneuver tractor trailers to specified doors or yard locations
•  Inspect tractor trailers for defects
•  Operate safely following all driver related safety guidelines
•  Maintain logs for all moves and submit to management daily
•  Maintain clear paths for trailer movement on the yard, removing debris or any obstacles
•  Ensure all trailers at the dock are secure and have wheel chalks engaged
•  Coordinate with management to fulfill regularly scheduled maintenance on the vehicle
•  Keep tractor trailers free and clean of any debris

To do this we believe you must have: (Required Skills and Experience)

• Class A-CDL 
• At least 2 years Truck Driving Experience 
• Knowledge of Shipping and Receiving 
• Day Cab Conventional Truck Operating Experience 

To do this we believe you should have: (Preferred Skills and Experience)

•  Ability to work autonomously
•  Ability to facilitate trailer/container moves with efficiency
•  Initiative and desire to drive change and be motivated to exceed expectations
•  vision well enough to read operating and maintenance instructions, gauges and dials
•  a valid driver’s license to operate specified company vehicles

•  Reports to: Warehouse Operations Manager

We’re hiring for the following shifts:

Monday through Friday/1st shift (6am to 3:30pm)
