Job Summary
We are looking for a competent Chief Engineer to manage maintenance in our hotel facilities. You will be responsible for hiring and training staff and ensuring the smooth running of upkeep or repair operations. An excellent Chief Engineer must be reliable and have a great eye for detail. They must have technical skills and knowledge of various crafts such as carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, painting, electrical, and pool maintenance etc. Leadership and knowledge of administrative tasks such as scheduling are essential. The goal is to ensure that facilities are in a good and safe condition at all times.

Responsibilities

Inspect facilities periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance

Prepare weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work

Conduct routine preventive maintenance projects on guest rooms, public areas, and equipment

Recruit, supervise and train maintenance technicians

Hire and supervise tradesmen during installations, repairs or maintenance (electricians, plumbers etc.)

Inspect and maintain building systems (heating, ventilation, pool and spa, etc.)

Contribute to the development of maintenance budget and ensure compliance

Monitor inventory of materials and equipment

Act as the Safety Committee Leader ensuring hotel departments are receiving regular safety trainings and equipped with proper personal protective equipment

Qualifications

3-5 years related work experience

Ability to stand and walk for 8 hours in a day. Ability to lift push pull up to 50lbs,

Must be able to follow verbal directions, and complete assigned tasks on schedule.

Compensation: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
