is responsible for the generation of business transient, group, and event business to maximize revenue and profits for the entire Hotel and Convention Center Complex.

Title of Position: Director of Sales and Marketing
Job Responsibilities:

The Director of Sales and Marketing r eports directly to the Hotel General Manager and will be a crucial part of the team coordinating the Sales and Marketing plans and activities for the hotel. This will include proactive efforts, nurturing and growing client relationships for individual market segments that include Businesses, Groups, and Events.
The Director of Sales and Marketing

is responsible for meeting and/or exceeding set sales goals, budgeting, forecasting, advertising, and creating a marketing plan to achieve annual sales revenues.
The Director of Sales and Marketing

will accurately complete monthly sales reports, and monthly pace reports and will assist with client billing and invoicing to ensure accuracy when requested.
The Director of Sales and Marketing

will require that the client is greeted upon arrival and that every detail meets expectations to ensure excellence in customer service.

Qualifications:

College Degree or equivalent Sales and Marketing experience.
Two years of prior Hotel Sales experience is preferred.
Prior experience with Hotel Property Management Systems to accurately record business.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal when negotiating contracts and following up on BEOs for meetings and group business.
