We're searching for a motivated team player with outstanding business skills to be the next director of sales and marketing at our
Crowne Plaza Memphis Downtown . You'll be in charge of developing a revenue management strategy to maximize profitability for everyday sales in areas such as rooms, dining, catering, and events. This dynamic leader is the voice of our brand and manages the marketing budget to enable the development of property-specific campaigns, promotions, and collateral to generate revenue and meet property targets. Responsibilities
Grow customer loyalty while also generating new business by nurturing long-term relationships
Achieve sales team goals and yearly sales targets and plan and implement short and long-term marketing plans
Examine market trends to establish pricing that balances costs, competition, and supply and demand
Consult with sales managers and stakeholders to evaluate the company's performance
Develop and train your team to better serve your customers
Qualifications
2-4 years of hotel sales and marketing-related experience
Bachelor's degree in sales, business administration, marketing or communications
Possesses prior leadership experience in directly managing a department within a similar hotel scope. Display strong leadership competencies: Be Brand-hearted, Think Ahead, Champion Change, Lead People, Develop People, Drive Results, and Work Collaboratively
Possesses strong creative and analytical skills to create and assess the impact of sales and marketing programs. Must be detail-oriented
Must be able to travel to attend workshops, tradeshows, conventions, etc.
Computer proficiency is required. Must possess experience with Microsoft Office systems, Delphi, Concerto, and access database tools
Highly developed written and verbal English communication skills to effectively negotiate, persuade, influence, and sell are critical
Proven track record of business milestones
Compensation
$92,000 - $95,000 yearly
