Job Description - Hotel Front Desk Agent

Millennium Hotels and Resorts is looking to enhance our hospitality team with a motivated and enthusiastic Hotel Front Desk Agent. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring their check-in and check-out experience is smooth and enjoyable. Your warm demeanor and professional attitude will set the tone for their stay and contribute to the overall satisfaction of our guests at our hotels around the globe.

As a Front Desk Agent, you will be responsible for managing reservations, checking guests in and out, and responding to inquiries and requests. Your attention to detail and customer-oriented mindset will help foster a welcoming environment that meets the high standards of Millennium Hotels and Resorts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Welcome guests upon arrival, efficiently check them in and out, and provide them with accurate room assignments.
  • Process transactions and handle financial transactions with accuracy, including cash and credit card payments.
  • Manage phone calls and handle guest inquiries professionally and courteously.
  • Oversee room reservations, modifications, and cancellations to maintain accurate occupancy and revenue data.
  • Address and resolve any guest complaints or issues to ensure a pleasant stay.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to guarantee rooms are ready for guests.
  • Maintain a clean and organized front desk area and hotel lobby.
  • Provide guests with information on local attractions, dining, and hotel amenities.
  • Enforce security procedures to ensure guest safety and security.
  • Additional tasks as assigned by management to enhance guest satisfaction.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent; degree in hospitality or related field preferred.
  • Prior experience in a hotel front desk or customer service role is advantageous.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with hotel management software and basic computer skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with an ability to multitask effectively.
  • Enthusiastic personality with a customer-focused approach.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
  • A team player ready to collaborate and contribute positively to the work environment.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting procedures is a bonus.
