JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for operating the laundry room, ensuring a ready supply of towels and linens.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Ensure customer satisfaction through prompt, efficient, and friendly service.


2. Accepts soiled linens from room attendants/utility staff for cleaning.


3. Load washers with soiled linen and cleaning solution as directed.


4. transfer the washed linen to the dryers once the wash is complete.


5. Promptly fold dry linen, stacking neatly for room distribution.


6. For extra soiled, torn, or damaged supplies, report and record loss to the supervisor to discard as directed.


7. Maintain accurate records of the daily count of loads of washed and dried linen; damaged linen; soap; and chemicals used.


8. Complete monthly inventory reports as directed.


9. Maintains cleaning equipment, wiping down machinery daily, and reporting malfunctions to the supervisor.


10. Ensure that equipment, tools, and materials are operated safely.


11. Promotes a clean, safe, and healthy work environment for employees and guests. Promptly reports all concerns to the supervisor.


12. Comply with regulatory laws, employee handbook, department policy and procedures, safety codes, etc.


13. Promote internal guest service through courteous and respectful behavior.


14. Other related functions as directed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Experience with cleaning procedures and materials.


2. Functionally literate: needs to read and follow written chemical, safety, and warning labels.


3. Need to Bend, lift, stand, and/or walk for long periods; perform repetitive motions with arms, wrists, hands, and fingers; work in an enclosed, extremely warm environment; lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs.


4. Effective communication skills - verbally provide instruction and respond to questions.


5. Flexible schedule: to work various shifts, weekends, and holidays.


6. Exhibits a professional demeanor through appearance and by maintaining a positive attitude toward all employees and guests.


7. Requires a criminal history background check.


8. Must be at least 18 years of age.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1. High School Diploma or GED or ten years’ experience.


2. Knowledge and experience with operating laundry equipment - washers, dryers, and irons.


3. Customer service experience.
