Hotel Lead Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Hotel Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in facilities management and maintenance, ensuring the smooth operation of hotel systems and equipment. This role requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting and resolving issues while maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency.

Duties

• Oversee the maintenance and repair of hotel facilities, including HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and mechanical equipment.


• Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders and manage maintenance schedules.


• Conduct regular inspections of hotel equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance.


• Collaborate with management on project management initiatives related to facility upgrades or renovations.


• Supervise maintenance staff, providing guidance and training as needed to enhance their skills.


• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including schematics and service reports.


• Respond promptly to guest requests regarding maintenance issues, ensuring minimal disruption to their experience.


• Implement preventive maintenance programs to extend the life of hotel assets.

Skills

• Strong management skills with experience in supervising teams effectively.


• Proficient in programmable logic controllers (PLC) and industrial maintenance practices.


• Solid understanding of HVAC systems, electrical work (including high voltage and low voltage), and mechanical knowledge.


• Familiarity with facilities management principles and practices.


• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.


• Ability to read and interpret schematics for various systems.


• Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a focus on team development.


• Experience in project management within a manufacturing or hospitality environment is a plus.
