Job Description - Hotel Maintenance Tech

We are searching for a Maintenance Technician for our family-focused hotel In Orange Beach AL.

We are seeking someone with excellent leadership abilities to oversee multiple company projects. The Maintenance Technicians responsibilities will include (but are NOT limited to) maintaining order of the property, assigning tasks to the maintenance/engineering department, and ensuring that all safety (and structural standards) are met throughout the completion of each project.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Approach all interactions with guests and employees in a friendly and service-oriented manner by maintaining a positive demeanor.
- Promote a positive and caring work environment by addressing and resolving any conflict in a calm and poised manner.
- Supervising projects from start to completion.
- Evaluate all costs associated with each project including materials, costs of labor, and time expended.
- Delegates tasks to Maintenance/Engineering teams as needed.
- Supervises staff training as well as equipment installation.
- Perform quality control checks on all systems and products.
- Patrol the interior and perimeter of the hotel to observe and identify potential security and safety risks (or undesirable conditions).
- Maintain order in the hotel, while dealing with the overall welfare of guests by coordinating expedient response to emergency conditions such as fire, safety hazards, and threats to life and/or property in a calm, rational and persuasive manner.
- Ensure time-based maintenance is completed according to timely repair schedules.
- Inspect equipment and conducting routine maintenance, replacing old or faulty equipment.
- Provide technical support and training on all new equipment.
- Be familiar with all applicable laws and codes to ensure proper compliance.
- Memorizes and monitor life safety system including the accurate layout of the entire building; including the locations of standpipes, and fire extinguishers.
- Complete ALL alarm reports & checks. Report any pertinent information from each shift to the next shift.
- Respond to guest complaints by conducting necessary research to develop the most effective solutions.
- Create and maintains preventive maintenance schedules.
- Analyze data and drafting reports for review by the General Manager.
- Project a professional manner with an emphasis on hospitality and guest service.
- Performs any other duties as assigned by management.

PAY:
Starts at ---> $15/hr. - $16/hr. Depending on Experience level

SCHEDULE:
***TWO SHIFTS AVAILABLE***
6:00am - 2:30pm (scheduled days will vary - MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK WEEKENDS)
---OR---
2:00pm-10:30pm (scheduled days will vary - MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK WEEKENDS)

REQUIREMENTS:
Must pass a pre-employment background check AND have reliable transportation to Orange Beach.

This position is Temp to Hire. No benefits are offered during the Temp period.
