OBJECTIVE

We are seeking an experienced Hotel Manager to oversee the daily operations of Salamander DC. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a proven track record of success in managing luxury hotels within a unionized setting. The Hotel Manager will report to the Managing Director.

* Overall Management: Oversee all aspects of hotel operations, including front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, spa, and engineering.* Staff Management: Lead and motivate a diverse team of employees, ensuring high levels of morale, productivity, and professionalism. Implement training programs to enhance staff skills and performance.* Guest Satisfaction: Ensure the highest standards of guest satisfaction are maintained throughout the hotel. Address any guest concerns or complaints promptly and effectively.* Financial Management: Assist in management of the hotel's budget, monitor financial performance, and implement cost-control measures to maximize profitability.* Quality Assurance: Uphold Salamander Collection's reputation for excellence by maintaining quality standards and implementing best practices in all areas of operation.* Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards. Implement policies and procedures to promote a safe and secure environment for guests and employees.* Community Engagement: Represent the hotel in the local community and cultivate positive relationships with stakeholders, including local businesses, government agencies, and community organizations.

REQUIREMENTS

* Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or related field (preferred).* Proven experience as a Hotel Manager or similar role in a luxury hotel environment.* Strong understanding of unionized labor environments and experience in labor relations.* Excellent leadership and communication skills.* Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.* Exceptional customer service skills and a passion for hospitality.* Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management.* Proficiency in hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite.* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
