JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Managing budgets and financial plans and controlling expenditure
Oversees hotel operations under the direction of the General Manager
Ensures overall guest satisfaction to drive brand metrics
Ensures compliance with brand standards
Maintaining statistical and financial records
Setting and achieving sales and profit targets
Recruiting, training, and monitoring staff
Planning work schedules for individuals and teams
Meeting and greeting customers
Dealing with customer complaints and comments
Addressing problems and troubleshooting
Ensuring events and conferences run smoothly
Supervising maintenance, supplies, renovations, and furnishings
Dealing with contractors and suppliers
Ensuring security is effective
Carrying out inspections of property and services
Ensuring compliance with licensing laws, health and safety, and other statutory regulations
Perform various other duties as assigned to meet business objectives
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
At least 2 years' experience as an Assistant General Manager or Hotel Manager in a Full Service environment strongly preferred.
Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management or Business, or combination of education and relevant experience.
At least 3 years Forbes and/or AAA Four Diamond experience required.
At least 5 years management experience in a Full Service or Resort environment as Division Head in either Rooms or F&B, preferably both, including successful oversight of a large staff and focus on exceptional guest service required.
Previous experience with Marriott/Hilton branded hotels is strongly preferred.
Experience in executing renovation and/or conversion critical paths is a plus.
At least 3 years of experience executing against operating budgets as Division Head with established history of meeting or exceeding financial objectives.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
Demonstrated ability to lead a team
Excellent attention to detail
Financial savvy
Proficient in Microsoft Office
