Job Title: Hotel Van Driver
Department: Front Office
Reports To: Front Office Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Salary Range: $18.00 hourly

Summary:
This position involves transporting guests within and around the resort property, ensuring their safety and comfort, and providing excellent customer service. This often includes shuttle service, guest transportation, and potentially other duties related to resort operations. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Safe and Efficient Transportation
Driving guests safely in a van or shuttle, while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
Route Management
Familiarity with resort layouts and routes, and the ability to navigate efficiently.
Providing friendly and courteous service to guests, including assisting with luggage, answering questions, and ensuring their comfort during transportation.
Vehicle Maintenance
Maintaining a clean and well-managed vehicle, reporting any mechanical issues, and ensuring all vehicles are ready for operation.

Additional Responsibilities:
Guest Assistance
Assisting guests with loading and unloading luggage or their personal items, helping with directions, and providing information about the resort. 
Communication:
Communicating with guests about their transportation needs, coordinating with other resort staff, and providing updates on potential delays or changes to service. 
Record Keeping:
Maintaining logs or records related to transportation services, such as route information, guest count, or incident reports. 
Safety Procedures:
Following established safety procedures for passenger transportation, including passenger count, seatbelt usage, and emergency protocols.

Qualifications:
An individual must be able to perform each essential duty, task, and responsibility according to the Margaritaville Resort Cape Cod brand standards. Required Minimum Education and Experience:
High School Graduate or General Education Diploma.

All applicants must:
  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Have maturity in judgment.
  • Follow all instructions and directives.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license
  • Pass a background check including DMV

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Demonstrates leadership and a self-starter – Possesses a high level of initiative.
  • Possess excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
  • Effective Listening – Listen carefully and thoughtfully to the ideas and opinions of others.
  • Effective Time Management – Organizing time effectively for greater productivity.
  • Trustworthy and Honest – Maintains a level of professional conduct respecting valuables.
  • Confidentiality – Maintains guest's and others' confidentiality.
  • Reason -Applies common sense and understanding and carries out instructions promptly.
  • Flexible – Must be able to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including holidays, weekends, and evenings.
