Our Madison Square (MSQ) House is situated in New York’s iconic Flatiron District, was previously home for Tepper Galleries, a well-known Manhattan auction house for international artists and collectors in the 1930s – and neighbors the 69th Regiment Armory where the first International Exhibition of Modern Art was held.

What You’ll Do:

We’re seeking a House Attendant to join our Operations team. The House Attendant will report directly to the Service Manager.

The House Attendant is a vital guardian of the NeueHouse environment, ensuring our spaces are hospitable, pristine, and ready for connection. As a House Attendant, you will set the standard for the House's atmosphere and physical condition for all Members, visitors, and team members. This role is highly collaborative, working across departments to execute seamless facility transitions, intricate event set-ups, and daily aesthetic maintenance.

• Event Execution: Coordinate with the Operations team to execute room resets and event builds based on specific floor plans. Manage the set-up and breakdown of private and programmed events with precision.
  
  


• Facility Stewardship: Conduct daily property walk-throughs to identify and address immediate service or maintenance needs. Ensure all furniture and equipment are clean, organized, and functioning safely.
  
  


• Operational Safety: Maintain a secure and healthy facility by strictly adhering to sanitation standards, breakage policies, and company safety procedures.
  
  


• Heart of House Organization: Keep all storage areas and "back of house" zones meticulously organized and inventory-ready.
  
  


• Member Engagement: Provide professional, friendly, and proactive service to current and prospective members, embodying our GRIT values of Genuine, Relentless, Integrity and Teamwork

Physical Requirements

• This position requires constant motion, including standing for the duration of a shift, walking, climbing stairs, bending, reaching overhead, squatting, and kneeling.


• Ability to frequently handle, feel, grasp, and hold objects with precision.


• Must be able to lift, carry, push, and move up to 65 lbs independently. For items exceeding this weight, requesting team assistance is required.


• Ability to balance, stoop, crouch, hear, and smell to ensure a safe and high-functioning environment.

Schedule Requirements:

• Preferred: Full-time with open availability.


• Required: Consistent availability between 2:00 PM and 10:00 PM.

Full Time Hourly Rate: $25

This role is also eligible for Convene's annual incentive performance bonus plan.

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
