Job Description - Household Goods (HHG) Support Specialist


Resolution Think LLC joint venture, is seeking a Household Goods (HHG) Support Specialist to serve as the primary point of contact for Navy personnel and families navigating the complex process of moving, storing, and receiving personal property. The Specialist will provide technical transportation support and information on world-wide Navy HHG services including express shipments, unaccompanied baggage, professional gear, claims filing, customer survey completion, and charge liquidation.

Location: Customer site - Jacksonville, FL.

Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the single point of contact for Navy personnel requiring assistance with HHG services
  • Provide technical support and information on moving, storing, and receiving household goods, unaccompanied baggage, express shipments, and professional gear
  • Assist customers in filing claims and surveys, tracking shipment status, and managing charge liquidations
  • Use phone and electronic media to respond promptly and professionally to inquiries
  • Maintain composure and courtesy while supporting customers under potentially stressful conditions
  • Collaborate effectively with other military services, contractors, and agencies
  • Perform administrative clerical duties including routine correspondence and database entry
  • Apply knowledge of proper telephone etiquette and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience providing quality customer support.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience presenting clear and comprehensive information, both orally and in written form.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience demonstrated effective interpersonal skills for communication with peers, customers, industry, and other services and agencies.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience performing administrative clerical duties, including routine correspondence.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with knowledge of clerical procedures relevant to typing correspondence.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with knowledge of telephone protocol, including the ability to maintain composure under difficult circumstances and respond in a clear speaking voice with tact and courtesy.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with basic familiarity of data entry to an existing database.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Requirements:
  • Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent (associate’s degree preferred)
  • Experience: Two years of relevant work experience.
  • Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship.
  • Credentialing: Ability to pass background check and drug screen. Current physical and immunizations.
  • Physical: Possess and maintain the ability to lift and manipulate loads or weights up to 20 kilograms/45lbs.
  • Job Site Requirements: You must be on the premises to perform the job. The position requires flexibility and responsiveness in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
