Housekeeper

Description

Medical Vein Clinic is looking for an experienced Housekeeper responsible for maintaining a clean and hygienic environment within the clinic by performing tasks like cleaning patient rooms, common areas, restrooms, taking out trash, and adhering to strict sanitation protocols to ensure patient safety and comfort, while following all established cleaning procedures and reporting any maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.

Hours: Monday-Friday 7:30am - 5:00pm

Essential Functions:

• Thoroughly clean and disinfect patient rooms, including door handles, walls, mirrors, tables, chairs, floors, and remove trash
• Wash and fold towels 
• Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors in waiting rooms, hallways, reception, and office areas
• Dusting furniture and surfaces
• Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms 
• Clean and disinfect medical equipment like wheelchairs if needed
• Properly store and maintain cleaning supplies
• Adhere to strict sanitation standards, including proper use of disinfectants and personal protective equipment (PPE) 
• Maintain adequate stock of cleaning supplies and report any shortages 
• Report any maintenance issues, damaged equipment, or safety hazards, or concerns to the supervisor 
• Communicate effectively with clinic staff regarding cleaning schedules and patient privacy

Requirements

Successful Candidate Should Possess:

• Attention to detail and ability to maintain high cleaning standards
• Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and disinfection protocols
• Ability to work independently and follow cleaning schedules
• Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and reaching
• Basic understanding of infection control practices
• Ability to work effectively in a healthcare setting
