Housekeeper

Position Description

Position Summary- This individual will be responsible for ensuring that all guest rooms, public areas, and service areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and hygiene. The ideal candidate will possess excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to providing outstanding guest service.

Reports to: Housekeeping Manager FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Qualifications

  • Experience: Previous housekeeping experience is preferred, but not required. Willing to train motivated candidates.
  • Skills: Ability to perform tasks efficiently and to high standards of cleanliness. Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
  • Availability: Flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, may be required.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift, bend, and perform physical tasks associated with cleaning and maintaining guest rooms. Must be able to work in various physical positions and environments (standing, bending, lifting up to 30 pounds).
  • Must be able to climb stairs and work in varying weather conditions

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

  •  Room Cleaning: Thoroughly clean and sanitize guest rooms, including changing bed linens, replenishing amenities, dusting, vacuuming, and cleaning bathrooms to ensure high standards of cleanliness are maintained.
  •  Public Area Maintenance: Maintain the cleanliness of public areas
  •  Stocking and Inventory: Restock room supplies (towels, toiletries, linens) and assist with inventory management to ensure that all cleaning materials and guest amenities are readily available.
  •  Guest Requests: Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests for additional amenities or services, ensuring a seamless and positive guest experience.
  •  Team Collaboration: Work effectively with other housekeeping staff, maintenance, and front desk, and Lodge staff to meet cleanliness standards and guest satisfaction goals.
  •  Safety and Maintenance: Follow all safety guidelines and ensure that cleaning supplies and equipment are used properly and stored safely. Report any maintenance issues or unsafe conditions immediately.
  •  Laundry Assistance: Assist with laundry duties, including washing, drying, folding, and sorting linens and towels as needed.
