Housekeeper Duties and Responsibilities:
The Environmental Services Technician is responsible for the cleanliness of all areas assigned by the Supervisor to include patient rooms, restrooms, offices, lounges and will consist of vacuuming, cleaning vents, walls, floors, lights, etc. at various sites throughout Caron properties.
Responsible to launder linens daily as assigned.
The Environmental Services Technician will maintain and ensure a safe and secure environment by following safety procedures. Reports safety hazards, accidents/incidents and broken equipment to Maintenance or Supervisor.
Attends and participates in educational programs and staff meetings as required.

Must be able to stoop, bend, push, pull and lift up to 50 lbs. as necessary to perform required cleaning tasks.
Must be able to work around odors, chemicals and extreme temperatures.
Must be able to ascend and descend stairs and climb and work from up to a 5-ft. stepladder.
May require work beyond normal hours and on weekends.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
1-year experience in institutional Housekeeping, Janitorial or Environmental Services role is preferred, but is not required.
Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
Must meet minimum requirements on Motor Vehicle Reports in accordance with Driving Standards Policy.
Requires a current, valid, unrestricted driver’s license
If in recovery, 1 year of continuous sobriety preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of operation and potential safety hazards of using equipment.
Knowledge of universal precautions and blood borne pathogens.
Knowledge of laundry and housekeeping skills.
Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with staff, patients and supervisor.
Demonstrated organizational and prioritization skill.
Working beyond normal hours and weekends may be necessary.
