Job Summary

The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining cleanliness throughout the facility, including resident rooms, common areas, hallways, bathrooms, and other designated spaces. The ideal candidate is reliable, hardworking, compassionate, and committed to helping provide a positive environment for our residents, visitors, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, dining areas, and common spaces.


• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and disinfect surfaces as needed.


• Empty trash and dispose of waste according to facility procedures.


• Follow established cleaning schedules and infection prevention and control guidelines.


• Replenish cleaning supplies and report low inventory.


• Safely use cleaning products and equipment according to instructions.


• Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or other issues to the appropriate supervisor.


• Respect residents' privacy, dignity, and personal belongings at all times.


• Maintain a professional, courteous, and respectful attitude toward residents, families, and coworkers.


• Follow all facility policies, safety procedures, and applicable health regulations.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred, but not required.


• Experience in a healthcare, nursing home, or rehabilitation setting is a plus.


• Must be 21 or older


• HS or GED
