HOUSEKEEPER AIDE

Description

Decatur Manor, a Specialized Mental Health Rehabilitation Facility in Decatur, IL is seeking experienced Full Time and Part-time Housekeeper Aides. The ideal candidate is available for an 8-hour shift from 7a-3p. $15 per hour. Must work every other weekend, both days.

Responsibilities of the Housekeeper Aide:

• Clean wash, sanitize and polish bathroom fixtures
• Clean windows/mirrors in residents' rooms, recreational areas, bathrooms as well as entrance/exit areas
• Vacuuming
• Clean hallways, stairways and common areas
• Keep supervisor aware of supply needs
• Adhere to work/cleaning and deep cleaning schedules are followed
• Other tasks will be explained during on-site interview
• Ensure proper storage of supplies
• Identify and correct any safety hazards

Requirements

Requirements of the Housekeeper Aide:

· Housekeeping experience preferred

· Experience in a long-term care or healthcare facility a plus

· Must be able to speak, read and understand English

· Personable and professional with staff and residents

· Must be able to pass a background check and be deemed eligible for hire by IDPH
